Heide NordBiography | Exhibitions | Interpretation | Selected works
In her space-absorbing works, Heide Nord conjoins painting, drawing, light sources and sculptures to complex installations. She then creates a system of interdependencies between these diverse media, whereby the painted and graphic parts form the counter pole to the self-contained block of the overall work. The pictures in oils, the drawings and the graphic prints are indeed integral elements of the overall work, but as the prominent panel pictures they guide the observer to selected aspects of the complex installation. Heide Nord’s works find their image contents in natural sciences, anthropology, in everyday images and in art history, in music and pop culture.
